# Adding a Record
The easiest way to add a record in Rails is through the ‘Add Record’ button on the top left hand of the screen.
Then navigate to the Object insert link to what an object is you’d like to add an entry to.
Now enter any information you’d like to store into the system. Note that anything with a red outline is required and must be filled to save the record.
